Evansville Public Library Selects EnvisionWare RFID
Evansville, IN Evansville Vanderburgh Public Library is the latest system to select EnvisionWare Renaissance RFID. The library selected EnvisionWare to replace a legacy Checkpoint RFID system. EnvisionWare has developed a strategy to aid libraries in migration from the proprietary system to the open standard ISO solution offered by EnvisionWare, which was the first company to offer only standards-based encoding in North America.
Said Al Coalla, Director of Sales, “This represents an exciting expansion of our customer partnership with a leading library system. The library has been a long-time user of EnvisionWare PC Management and is now installing our RFID technology in three locations. Our tight integration with Innovative’s Item Status API makes our RFID system seamlessly operate with Millcirc and III Express Lane which makes the transition remarkably easy for staff.”
The Library has a collection in excess of a million items and circulates over 2.7 million items annually. The Library system consists of a Central Library and seven branch locations in southwestern Indiana. Renaissance RFID becomes the third EnvisionWare product purchased by Evansville, which has used PC Reservation and LPT:One Print Management for more than three years.
